Below this region one can have an excellent one day's float trip on the calmer portion of the river upto Pandoh, This stretch, though very tame and sedentary, has one of the most inspiring gorges to traverse. The river can, however, be traversed through the Kangra valley but there is little white water to be expected. A river exploration trip on this stretch would prove interesting. These two stretches below Pandoh and upto Bhakra Lake are suitable for river exploration.

                          The other rivers in the region are the Sutlej and Tons. These rivers also have stretches which can be run conveniently. Since these regions have not yet been promoted, it will take some time for them to become popular. There are no trek routes or places of tourist interest, which have been developed in the region. Comparatively, therefore, the Kulu valley and the Lahaul and Spiti valleys are more attractive for rafting.

  How to Write Funny Political Satire

           Political satire, or humor mocking world politics, is a very entertaining and relevant form of entertainment. Bloggers, "pundits" and even well-known celebrities such as Stephen Colbert have entertained audiences, and even made a living, off this style of humor. But how do they do it? What is the key to their success? Well, my friends, I believe I have the answer. You see, there are certain features of satire that, if done properly, will cause it to be well-received and in-demand. If these elements are ignored, however, the attempt at humor will fall flat on its face.

                            One useful satirical tool is to mock a politician's alleged weaknesses, often to an extreme degree. This will appeal to different groups: Those who hate the politician will enjoy seeing him/her derided, and those who like the politician will also like it. If they realize it is all done in jest, and believe that you are mocking those who are mocking the politician, they enjoy the irony. Remember, your views do not actually matter here; your job is to entertain! Here's a solid example: when making light of our current president, find what he is criticized for, and use it. I don't refer to him as the commander-in-chief, rather, the illegal-immigrant-in-chief.

               Another good point is to present the victim of your satire in a way that they are guaranteed to look bad. For example, I present my readers with a "patriotic" question: Is Obama truly the world's greatest liar, or is he simply a man who attempts honesty, but is woefully incompetent that he fails every time to express the truth?

Here, I hope the following gives you a taste: I have come to reveal to u the presidents darkest secrets and ugliest lies. For free! How patriotic is that? Don't answer, b/c i dont want to hear you're opinion. Anyway, i henceforth {awesome word, right?} present to you damning evidence that prove why Obama is trying to destroy the world. Well, he's really only trying to destroy america, but who really cares about the rest of the world right?

Another less-used tool that i employ is "fake quotes". Instead of taking quotes out of context, invent a ridiculous quote yourself, or take one from another place entirely. Inform your readers that this quote was said "off the record" and that your "sources" have told you the politician/institution you are mocking was responsible for this.

Example: q: "You're talking to God, so ya better swear to me." Mickey Cohen didn't say this; it was obama's thoughts on religion's place in the pledge of allegiance.

There you have it! You are now {hopefully} ready to go out and entertain your friends/readers/whoever with the art of political satire. And remember: if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Don't be discouraged by early struggles, because you can do it! Thank you and good luck.
